Sometimes it feels like we're stuck between who we want to be and who we can afford to be.
가끔은 우리가 되고 싶은 사람과, 우리가 감당할 수 있는 사람이 그 사이 어딘가에 갇혀 있는 느낌이 든다.

 

We dream big, but our bank accounts remind us to calm down.
우리는 크게 꿈꾸지만, 통장은 늘 현실로 돌아오라고 말한다.

 

Some of us want to switch careers, but the rent doesn’t wait for anyone.
직업을 바꾸고 싶어도, 월세는 누구도 기다려주지 않는다.

 

Others want to chase their passion, but passion doesn’t pay for health insurance.
하고 싶은 일을 쫓고 싶지만, 열정만으로는 건강보험이 해결되지 않는다.

 

We tell ourselves we’re still young, but we also feel like time is slipping faster than our pay raises.
우리는 아직 젊다고 말하지만, 시간이 월급 인상보다 더 빨리 지나가는 것 같다.

 

Sometimes our talent feels too small, our hobbies too childish, and our dreams too expensive.
때로는 우리의 재능은 너무 작고, 취미는 너무 유치하고, 꿈은 너무 비싸게 느껴진다.

 

But even in all this mess, we keep moving.
그럼에도 이런 혼란 속에서 우리는 계속 움직인다.

 

We work, rest, complain, try again, and somehow keep going.
우리는 일하고, 쉬고, 불평하고, 다시 시도하고, 어떻게든 앞으로 나아간다.

 

Maybe the point isn’t choosing between dream and reality

아마 중요한 건 꿈과 현실 중 하나를 선택하는 게 아니라,

 

—maybe it’s learning to carry both without dropping ourselves along the way.

가는 길에 스스로를 놓치지 않고 둘 다 짊어지는 법을 배우는 것일지 모른다.
