[Day 19] 진격의 거인과 선과 악의 철학

What is true freedom?
➝ 진정한 자유란 무엇인가?

1.Eren constantly talks about "freedom," but his version of freedom comes at the cost of others' lives.
에렌은 끊임없이 "자유"를 외치지만, 그의 자유는 타인의 희생을 전제로 한다.

2.Is true freedom possible without sacrificing others?
진짜 자유가 가능한가 없이 희생 다른것들 -> 다른 사람들의 희생 없이 진정한 자유가 가능한가?

3.If everyone desires freedom, is it ever justifiable / to take away someone else’s in the process?
모두가 자유를 원한다면(갈망하다, 욕구) , 그 과정에서 타인의 자유를 빼앗는 것이 정당화될 수 있을까?

4.Is it justifiable to take away freedom from others to get your freedom

다른 사람의 자유를 뺴앗는 것이 정당화 될 수 있나? 너의 자유를 갖기 위해서.

Is good and evil / absolute or relative?

➝ 선과 악은 절대적인가, 상대적인가?

1.The Marleyans see the Eldians as evil, while the Eldians see the Marleyans as enemies.
마레인은 엘디아인을 악으로 규정하고, (반면에, ~하는 동안)엘디아인은 마레인을 적으로 본다.

2.Eren seeks to destroy humanity, but he believes he is doing it / to save his people.
에렌은 인류를 멸망시키려 하지만, 그의 목적은 동족을 지키기 위함이다.

3.Do we judge good and evil / based only on our own perspectives?
우리는 특정한 입장에서만 선과 악을 판단하는 것은 아닐까?

 

Can humanity ever achieve true peace?

➝ 인류는 진정한 평화를 이룰 수 있을까?

1.The conflict between those inside and outside the walls, between Marley and Eldia,
between humans and Titans, all stem(기인하다, 발생하다) from fear and revenge.
벽 안과 벽 밖, 마레와 엘디아, 인간과 거인의 갈등은 결국 두려움과 복수에서 비롯된다.

2.Is lasting peace ever truly / possible,
last: 지속되다 지속되는 평화가 언젠가는 진짜로 가능할까?

3.or is it just a temporary(일시적인, 순간적인) pause between wars?
아니면 단지 전쟁과 전쟁 사이의 휴식일 뿐일까?

4.Even if(~라도, 비록~라도) people try to understand each other,
사람들이 서로를 이해하려 해도

5.will history and fear always lead(이끌다, ~로 끌고가다) to more conflict?
과거의 상처와 두려움 때문에 결국 다시 싸우게 되는 것은 숙명일까?
